Magnetic Coupling in Nanostructured Materials
Roma, 23 - 24 October 2017
The Workshop on Magnetic Coupling in Nanostructured Materials (MaCMat-2017) is the 9th in a series of small format workshops (Spin Symposium) devoted to selected topics in nanomagnetism that were started in 2009 by Prof. Dr. Hamid Kachkachi at the University of Perpignan, France.
The aim of the Workshop is to join together academic scientists and researchers involved in the study of magnetic materials, devices and systems whose magnetic properties are strongly affected by the interactions among constituents. The topics will cover both theoretical and experimental aspects, with a special focus on magnetic dipolar interactions in nanostructured materials, interface exchange coupling in nano-heterostructures, magnetization dynamics and reversal mechanism in interacting systems, magneto-electronics and magneto-optics phenomena.
The Workshop will be organized by the Nanostructured Magnetic Material group (nM2-Lab) of the Institute of Structure of Matter (ISM, Roma) of the National Research Council (Italy).
The Workshop will be held at the CNR headquarter, in Rome, Italy, one of the most beautiful cities in the world, famous for its unique antiquities of the Roman empire, spectacular masterpieces of baroque art, grandiose squares and old charming neighborhoods, as well as for its precious Museums and wonderful galleries.
The Workshop will last 2 full days (October 23th - 24th, 2017) and the program will include only invited talks (25+5 min long) with no parallel nor poster sessions.
