Based on my own experience as a teacher at a community university and from the feedback, I believe that students should have a creative hands-on experience in building small systems of products or working through real-problems rather than just a theoretical treatment of the subject.
Overall goals of a course may be constant, however changes in presentation style or order and inclusion of extra information often ensure success. If this does not work, I motivate the students by relating the topic back to their own experiences.
I see trust as a respectful contract. To learn, students must feel comfortable to ask questions and participate in the class, to trust in my knowledge on the subject, and to trust that I will correctly evaluate their performances.
The summary of my main professional experiences include:
Professor and researcher at the Integrated Regional University of Upper Uruguay and Missions – URI (since 2011)

YouTube lectures. Since 2011 it became increasingly clear to me that a number of my students, as well as collaborators at other universities did not have the background in product development, lean six sigma concepts, and other tools which was needed for us to work most effectively. I therefore taught a series of lectures which I recorded and published on YouTube. The resulting videos continue to receive around 3000 views per month from around the world.
