Charles William Macdonald (1874 to 1967) was a Seaman, Labourer, Artist and Manufacturer. In the nineteen thirties when his business slowed, he and his employee partners built five cottages of wood, concrete and stone at Huntington Point on Nova Scotia's Bay of Fundy.

It has hot and cold running water, gravity fed from a spring in the forest. There is an indoor flush toilet and an undercover on-demand hot water shower. There's an electric stove and refrigerator plus a wood stove to take off a chill. The cottage is equipped with pots and pans, and dishes, and cutlery and charm.

Upstairs are two three-quarter beds and a small cot with bedding. Though there is no wi-fi we have installed a cellular booster in the cottage and service is plentiful at the beach fifty meters away.
