Charles William Macdonald (1874 to 1967) was a Seaman, Labourer, Artist and Manufacturer. In the nineteen thirties when his business slowed, he and his employee partners built five cottages of wood, concrete and stone at Huntington Point on Nova Scotia's Bay of Fundy.

Charlie's favourite Cottage has remained in the family. It is a registered Nova Scotia Heritage Property and has been maintained much the way he and wife Mabel left it ... cosy and authentic.

It has hot and cold running water, gravity fed from a spring in the forest. There is an indoor flush toilet and an improvised, undercover, on-demand hot water shower in the car port. There's an electric stove and refrigerator plus a wood stove to take off a chill. The cottage is equipped with pots and pans, and dishes, and cutlery and charm.

Upstairs there are two beds - one full size and one three-quarter size. Bedding for the two is included. And to access them, one ascends a tight spiral staircase - a particular challenge for individuals with mobility issues.

There is no wi-fi though we have installed a cellular booster in the cottage and there is service at the beach fifty meters away
