This document explains how users can permanently delete their account and all associated data from the Xpense App.
How to Delete Your Account:
1. Open the Xpense App
2. Go to the Settings section
3. Tap on "Delete Account"
4. Confirm your action
Note:
Account deletion can only be initiated from within the app.
What Data Will Be Deleted:
When you delete your account, the following data will be permanently removed:
- Personal information (username, email address)
- All individual expenses and transaction history
- Any notes or receipts linked to your expenses
- Your participation in group expenses (you will be removed from all groups)
- Authentication data including login credentials
Collaborative Data Handling:
- Your data will be removed from shared groups
- Any expenses created by you will be deleted or anonymized
Deletion Timeframe:
- Your data is permanently deleted immediately or within 24 hours of confirmation
Important:
- This action is irreversible
- Once deleted, your account cannot be recovered
