MACCP seeks future leaders for our chapter, with an interest in developing a leadership team with a diversity of clinical pharmacy practice experiences, leadership experiences, and backgrounds. Strong interest in event planning, networking, regional and national membership recruitment, and advancing clinical pharmacy practice is desired. Members who wish to learn more about leading in an officer role are encouraged to participate in chapter activities and reach out to officers to learn more.

Meet other pharmacists and leaders in the region and ACCP
Leadership and professional service towards BPS recertification requirements, up to 20 hours annually
A brief description of the officer roles and responsibilities is provided:
President: (1-year term)
Chief elected officer, creating the agendas for and presiding over all regular and special meetings
Appoints all committee chairs and members, and provides charges
Chair of the nominations committee
Coordinates Officer efforts to plan and execute chapter events and initiatives
Submits Pennsylvania Non-Profit Annual Report and ACCP Annual Reports
President-Elect: (1-year term as President-Elect, 1-year term as President the following year)
Supports the operations of the chapter and prepares for the presidential term the following year
Ex-officio committee member as designated by the President
Assists with executing chapter events and begins planning events for the following year
Secretary-Treasurer: (1-year term)
Custodian of chapter funds; supervises receipts and expenditures
Drafts a budget in collaboration with other Officers
Maintains documentation of all financial activities in the current year
Prepares Annual Report documents for the current year for submission the next year as required by ACCP
Issues notices of meetings and maintains minutes of all meetings
Processes membership applications and maintains an up-to-date membership roster
Safeguards MACCP access to electronic accounts and maintains all papers, archives, records and property
Prepares to serve as President-Elect if nominated and elected (if desired) for the following year
Nominations may be made at any time until 30 days prior to elections, which occur in the fourth quarter of the year. Sixty-day notice is provided with nominated candidates to membership. Members may nominate themselves or another member. Only current ACCP members (that are also currently registered MACCP members) may serve as MACCP Chapter Officers. MACCP Officers serve terms from January 1 - December 31.

Nominations committee provides notice of nominees to the membership via email:
October 1 (initial)
Nominations close November 1 (last notice, after which the ballot will be finalized and sent to membership for voting)
Elections: All ballots are due on November 15
