Requires macOS 15 or later. The initial App Store build targets Apple Silicon.
1. Choose Photo or Video.
2. Choose a window, display, or region. Drag and resize a region as needed.
3. Press Return or the capture button. If instant photo capture is enabled, selecting a window or display takes the photo immediately; region selection is excluded.
4. Stop a recording from the capture bar or menu bar. Wait until saving finishes.
Use Settings for the destination, preview, countdown, and language. Use the format menu beside Video to choose MP4 or GIF. GIF has no audio.
Free MP4 recordings last up to three minutes per recording. The app stops, saves, and then displays a brief limit notice.
Pro is a one-time purchase. It unlocks unlimited recording, GIF export, automatic clipboard copying, cursor options, click emphasis, and local OCR. Restore Purchases using the Apple Account used for the original purchase.
Choose Read Text from the PNG menu beside Photo, select a target, and capture it. Review or edit the recognized text, then choose Copy Text. OCR runs locally and can make recognition errors.
Check screen capture and microphone permissions in System Settings. Restart the app when macOS requests it. Select another target if a window has closed. Protected media may not be capturable.
For saving errors, check that the destination is connected and has sufficient free space, then select the folder again in Settings.
