Black Maternal Health Day of Service Recap
This past Sunday, Monarch Academy Annapolis proudly hosted the Black Maternal Health Awareness Day of Service, in partnership with the Annapolis Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and other amazing organizations.
The event was a meaningful opportunity to engage families and community members in crucial conversations about maternal health, wellness, and support. Attendees enjoyed educational panels, interactive resource tables, and activities that highlighted the importance of health equity and awareness for Black mothers and families.
Thank you to all of our partners, speakers, and attendees for making this event such a success. Together, we’re empowering our community with the tools and resources needed to thrive!

It was a wonderful opportunity to learn more about the incredible support UWIF provides and to further build our partnership with them.

We’re thrilled to announce that Monarch Academy Annapolis has been renewed for another seven years! This milestone reflects the incredible work of our staff, families, and community partners. Together, we’ll continue to grow and make a lasting impact for years to come.
💇🏾Fresh Cuts!! 💇🏾
Our first Barber Visit was a tremendous success! Students had the opportunity to receive free haircuts on-site, fostering confidence and convenience for families. We’re excited to continue providing this valuable service each month as part of our commitment to meeting our students’ needs.
🎃 Reflecting on Our Trunk or Treat Night! 🎃
Our Trunk or Treat event was a fantastic success, with over 125 families checked in for a night filled with excitement! Families enjoyed delicious food, music from our amazing DJ, interactive activities, free haircuts, and so much more. Thank you to everyone who helped make this night special for our community – we can’t wait to do it again next year!
✨ Warm Thanks to United Women in Faith ✨
We are thrilled to extend our heartfelt gratitude to United Women in Faith in Annapolis, Maryland, for their generous donation of 71 coats to our students. Thanks to their kindness, more students in our community will stay warm and prepared as we enter the colder months. Together, we're building a brighter and cozier future for our kids!
Reflecting on a Memorable Hispanic Heritage Night!
On October 2nd, Monarch Academy Annapolis hosted a vibrant and memorable Hispanic Heritage Night, bringing together our wonderful families, staff, and community partners to honor the rich cultures and contributions of the Hispanic and Latinx community. We are so grateful to all of the vendors who participated, providing valuable resources and engaging activities for our families.
A huge thank you to our families for coming out and making the night so special with your presence and support. Your participation made this event a true celebration of unity, culture, and community spirit!
Together, we continue to build an inclusive and welcoming environment for all. We look forward to many more opportunities to celebrate and engage with our school community.

Successful Community School Night
Our recent Community School Night on September 24, 2024 was a tremendous success! We had an incredible family turnout and welcomed over 10 new and existing partners, including Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., Maryland Hall, and the Michael E. Busch Library. Thank you to everyone who participated and helped make this event possible. We are excited to continue building strong community connections to benefit our students.

We are thrilled to announce that Trader Joe’s and Giant are now proud sponsors of Monarch Academy Annapolis! Their support will play a significant role in helping us continue to provide valuable resources and opportunities for our students and families. We look forward to growing these partnerships and enhancing our school community together.

Back to School Backpack Giveaway
On Saturday, August 24th, we teamed up with Bridge Church for our annual Back to School Backpack Giveaway. The event was a fantastic success, with families and students excitedly receiving backpacks filled with essential school supplies. It was a wonderful way to kick off the school year and support our community’s students.
Successful Back to School Night
Our Back to School Night on August 22nd was a great success! We had the pleasure of meeting many families and connecting with local community organizations. It was an excellent opportunity to engage with our school community and share our vision for the year ahead.
New Partnerships
We’re excited to announce several new partnerships that will enhance our community programs and resources:
Delta Sigma Theta Annapolis Alumnae Chapter: We’re looking forward to collaborating with this esteemed organization on future initiatives.
Kona Ice: Expect some cool and refreshing treats at our upcoming events, thanks to our new partnership with Kona Ice.
Michael E. Busch Library: We’re thrilled to work with the library to provide additional educational resources and programming for our students.
Chesapeake Children's Museum: Our partnership with the Chesapeake Children’s Museum will bring exciting new opportunities for hands-on learning and exploration.
