Letter from Lyvie
Dear bride-to-be,
Hello, I'm Lyvie (pronounced liv-ee). Thank you so much for your interest in my makeup style—I’m truly honoured to be considered part of your once-in-a-lifetime day.
I love being in the wedding industry. Weddings are emotional, intimate, and one of the most celebratory milestones in life.
Having lived in Auckland for most of my life, I’ve grown up surrounded by diversity, which has given me dynamic experience working with a variety of features. I also understand how difficult it is to find a makeup artist in New Zealand who genuinely understands Asian features. Even within Asian beauty, East Asian and South East Asian features each have their own nuances, and I carefully adapt my techniques to honour those differences.
My artistry is deeply inspired by Korean beauty. I was born in Korea and travel back every year during the winter months (my off-season), staying closely connected to Korean beauty trends and continually bringing fresh techniques and innovations into my work.
To refine my craft, I’ve trained with industry-leading professionals. I hold a formal qualification in Personal Beauty from South Korea and completed a professional makeup course at Jung Saem Mool Academy. The more I learn, the more I fall in love with makeup and want to become better at it.
My approach to makeup is highly analytical and personalised. My goal isn’t to make you unrecognisable, but to bring out the very best in you. My favourite verse is “You are fearfully and wonderfully made,” and I am always in awe of how uniquely beautiful each person is.
I look forward to celebrating with you!
With care & blessings,
Lyvie Lee
