Founder’s Story

I founded this company to extend my lifelong commitment to improving human potential through applied, global, and meaningful learning experiences (LX).

For over two decades, my work as an instructional designer, researcher, and professor has centered on how emerging technologies—games, immersive environments, AI, and wearables—can be designed to improve learning, motivation, and human performance. This work led to the development of the SAGE-FIT approach, a framework that integrates Social and Gameful Experiential learning with Fitness, Innovation, & Tenacity—emphasizing learning that is active, motivating, culturally responsive, and capable of improving lives beyond the learning environment itself.

I do not simply advocate for experiential, data-informed learning—I live it.

I have trained for and completed endurance marathons using wearable technologies such as Fitbits, Apple Watches, and heads-up display (HUD) fitness glasses that project real-time performance data directly into the runner’s field of view to support self-regulation, goal-setting, and adaptive performance. I have also actively used VR fitness platforms that combine immersive environments, global communities, and performance analytics to drive motivation, accountability, and sustained growth. These lived experiences continue to inform how I design learning systems that integrate feedback, motivation, community, and purpose.

My work has expanded to include human-centered applications of artificial intelligence. I actively design and use AI as a creative and cognitive partner in the learning design process—not as an authority, but as a catalyst for reflection, iteration, and deeper thinking. One example is GameWise Gigi, an AI-supported design companion that helps learners and designers critically examine instructional games, simulations, and immersive experiences. Through tools like this, AI supports metacognition, ethical decision-making, and theory-aligned design—while keeping human judgment, values, and context at the center.

All work here is independently developed, operated, and governed, though it is informed by research, practice, and lived experience. This company was intentionally established as an independent innovation and consulting venture, separate from my university appointment, to enable applied work that extends beyond traditional academic settings.

A core passion of my global competency and service-oriented instructional design is empowering individuals not only to succeed personally through fun and games, but also to respect and contribute meaningfully in diverse cultural contexts, learning this through experience.

At its heart, this company exists to help people learn with purpose, grow through experience, and flourish together—using thoughtful design to support both human performance and global understanding.
