The Shuffleboard and Social Club provides a friendly, welcoming atmosphere where sportsmanship, fellowship, companionship, and recreation come together for the enjoyment of its members and the residents of Laguna Woods Village.
Shuffleboard is a fun and engaging game for people of all ages and abilities — and it offers a surprising number of benefits. Whether you’re looking for light exercise, mental challenge, or simply good company, shuffleboard has something for everyone.
It’s social.
Doubles play allows plenty of time for conversation and camaraderie between turns. Many of our members have formed lasting friendships — some even leading to romance and marriage!
It’s easy to learn.
We offer free lessons during our regular play times. Arrive about ten minutes early, introduce yourself, and someone will be happy to get you started.
Mondays: 9:00 a.m. & 5:30 p.m.
Tuesdays: 9:30 a.m. & 3:00 p.m.
Thursdays: 5:30 p.m.
Fridays: 1:00 p.m.
It’s inclusive.
Almost anyone can play, regardless of experience or physical ability. No partner is required, and all equipment is provided.
It’s both physical and mental exercise.
A game of shuffleboard works your arms, legs, and back while keeping your mind sharp through strategy and planning — protecting your scoring discs, blocking your opponent, and aiming for that perfect shot.
It builds community.
Beyond the courts, our club hosts a variety of social events — annual spring and holiday dinners, luncheons, pizza nights, and potlucks. These gatherings are wonderful opportunities to relax, connect, and celebrate the friendships that make our club special.

Confidence and Joy: Friendly play and small successes build self-esteem.
By incorporating shuffleboard into a regular routine, seniors can enjoy both physical and mental health benefits — an enjoyable, low-impact activity that exercises the body, stimulates the mind, and connects the heart to a supportive community.
