Short Bio

• Yuan's research focuses on heterogeneous chemistry in the troposphere and stratosphere, particularly the interactions between trace gases and surfaces such as mineral dust and black carbon. This includes investigating the uptake process, the formation of secondary products, and their subsequent impacts on atmospheric composition, air quality, and climate.
