Short Bio
I am Sumit, and I am currently pursuing an MS in WashU through the IIT Bombay - WashU Joint MS program, where I conduct my research in the CAN lab. My academic journey has equipped me with a robust foundation in Environmental Science and Engineering, fostering a deep interest in studying air quality and pollution dynamics. My research primarily focuses on understanding the impact of wildfire smoke on urban air quality, particularly ground-level ozone (O3) concentration.
Outside my academic and research activities, I enjoy a variety of hobbies that help me stay balanced and inspired. I am an avid traveler, always eager to explore new places and cultures. Hiking is one of my favorite activities, allowing me to connect with nature and discover scenic trails. I have also recently started going to the gym, focusing on maintaining a healthy and active lifestyle. Additionally, I have a passion for photography, capturing the beauty of nature, historical monuments, and urban scenes alike.
