Permanent jewelry is a claspless piece of jewelry that can be applied to many areas of the body including but not limited to: neck, wrists, fingers, toes, and ankles.
We then use a small welder for an easy and painless process. Instead of using a clasp we use a tiny jump ring to connect and weld the two ends of the chain, turning it into a "permanent" piece of jewelry. Rest assured the jewelry can be removed at any time.
No, installing permanent jewelry does not hurt. The installation process has absolutely nothing to do with penetrating the skin. It is a painless quick process that is done by a small welding stylus and a spark. You wont feel a thing!
Permanent jewelry will stand the test of time and is designed for consistent everyday wear. Although, it is not invincible - it is still fine, dainty jewelry. Negligence, chemical exposure, continuous snags, and improper welds can cause issues such as breaks or tarnishing with your jewelry. Always provide the proper after care to maintain your jewelry's beauty.
Your appointment should take about 10 - 15 minutes or less depending on how many pieces you get and the size and style of each chain.
Each of my chains are priced per metal, style and inch so there is no set price for bracelets, anklets or necklaces. Rings range from $20 - $25. Contact me if you have further questions.
You will first make a selection from my variety of chains. You can also choose to add a charm or multiple charms.
Then, I will measure your wrist, ankle or neck and give you an estimated price. After confirmation, you will fill out the waivers (this can be done while waiting for your appointment as well).
After the completion of your waivers, I will custom fit the chain to your wrist, ankle, or neck. Once the chain is cut I will add a jump ring that holds the chain together.
Lastly, I close the jump ring and weld it shut with the welding stylus. Now you can enjoy your beautiful piece!
Your permanent jewelry can be removed easily with scissors or nail clippers. Just simply find the jump ring where your jewelry is welded and clip it. Do not clip the chain itself if you want to have it reinstalled at a later date.
If you are getting an MRI or other imaging tests, please check with your doctor to see if your permanent jewelry should be removed. Most tests will not require removal and customers have reported being able to keep their jewelry on while getting MRIs. ALWAYS check with your doctor or Imaging Tech ahead of time.
Permanent jewelry chains are usually very dainty and should be well taken care of by the person wearing it. Chains can be caught or pulled and end up breaking. Unfortuanely, if your chain breaks, you will need to buy a replacement. If your weld breaks, I can reapply the jewelry with a new jump ring.
Permanent jewelry can undergo years of wear without needing to be removed for professional cleaning. However, to maintain the integrity of the link aftercare is recommended. Your jewelry comes in contact daily with many substances, chemicals, and a lot of debris. Think for a moment about the lotions and perfumes you wear daily, the outside elements when it is raining or humid, or the lint from your favorite fuzzy jacket.
For aftercare you should be washing thoroughly with a gentle soap cleanser, completely rinsing the piece, and making sure it is dried fully. Your jewelry should be cleaned as frequently as once a week to as little as once every few months. This ratio depends on your lifestyle.
Please note that sterling silver jewelry is just like a silver spoon. Leaving this material in stagnant air will cause it to tarnish. Your sterling silver should be touched, rolled, and moved around at least 2 times a week to avoid possible tarnishing. The chemical makeup of our skin will help the jewelry maintain a bright shiny silver look.
I only use solid gold, 14k gold filled in yellow, rose or white and sterling silver. Gold plated jewelry is not used at Luna Rose as plated jewelry tends to tarnish over time.
