What a monumental day in history! The "blue wave" has finally arrived at the door of the U.S government and it has the GOP in shambles. Today is a powerful moment where the people have spoken. The people are tired of the tyrannical and immature actions of our current president, Donald Trump and the GOP.
This comes after the loss of both the House and the Senate for the GOP, including seven states flipping. Ohio, Texas, Kansas, Iowa, Maine, and the Carolinas flipped blue in the Senate, making it 54-44 with 2 races still to be called. Meanwhile, in the House, 35 seats flipped blue while only one seat flipped red, leading to an even more progressive House, making it 245-147 with 53 races yet to be called. Finally, in the Governor's race, the Democratic Party won 17 of the contested seats, including 5 of them flipping blue, The GOP won 12 Governor's races. This makes it 28-20 with 2 races yet to be called.

Trump, who has endorsed many controversial candidates such as the Ohio GOP governor candidate Vivek Ramaswamy, who made a political ad with the democratic candidate's, Amy Acton's, mother, denying and mocking the sexual abuse she experienced as a 12 year old child, Jon Husted, the Ohio Senate candidate for the GOP, who was involved in the FirstEnergy bribery scandal, receiving a secret 1 million dollar fund for his campaign, then Husted returned the favor by passing and supporting the infamous House Bill 6, bailing out the Perry and David-Besse nuclear plants with payments of around 150 million dollars per year. This was paid with $0.85 payments, which increased to up to $1.50 dollars by the end of 2026. this, along with the GOP's defense of data centers, raised the rates of Ohio households by up to 663 dollars per year, and Ken Paxton, who was involved in fraud, abuse of office, and infidelity, leading to the House's impeachment of him in Texas, has been panicking for the past couple of days now, as he has posted a public service announcement on X that "Trump is still your president" and that he'll become "Mr. Veto" if the Democratic Party takes control of Congress.

Unfortunately, the Democrats do not have the 2/3 supermajority to impeach Trump. Despite this clear issue, Trump's actions, including the Epstein Files, the Iran war, his treasonistic statements towards Los Angeles, a democratic city, and the constitutional repudiation of ICE, has made many of the GOP's candidates go against him. These additional charges may allow the 67 votes needed to obtain a majority. In Trumps last impeachment trial, only 57 senators supported impeaching him, 10 short of the mark. With adequate trial and deliberation, Trump may finally receive punishment for his crimes.
Robert Garcia, who is about to be the oversight chairman of the House come January, told the GOP to "Lawyer Up." This is wonderful news, as there may finally be concrete plants to put Trump and his posse in prison once and for all. The people are finally starting to support progress, and it starts with punishing the GOP for it's SA, abuse of power, hatred, cowardice, corruption, anti-intellectualism, and bigotry. If the Democratic Party has their way, then subopeanas will be required, files will be checked, and criminals will be put in prison.

First of all, I just wanted to say congratulations and give my thanks to our new governor, Dr. Amy Acton. She is the first woman ever in my homestate of Ohio to be elected into the office of governor. This is a huge accomplishment for her, as she joins 13 other democratic women who will serve in their states. I also want to congratulate Keisha Lance Bottoms, who will be the governor of Georgia, defeating Rick Jackson in Georgia's gubernational race. I also want to congratulate Abdul El-Sayed, who is the first Muslim mayor to be elected governor in the Senate, governing the state of Michigan. Both California and Texas also had minorities win governor elections, both being latinx with Xavier Beccara and Gino Hinojosa. I am also happy to announce that Chris Pappas is the first openly gay man to be elected in the U.S Senate, serving in New Hampshire. Wisconsin and Nevada both elected black governors, electing David Crowley and Aaron Ford respectively. Finally, in Minnesota, Amy Klobuchar is the first woman to be elected into office as governor. I want to wish every last one of them the best of luck in their service, and give them my thanks for fighting against the tyranny of the MAGA movement that has plagued our government. Merci beaucoup, et nous t'aimerions!

Overall, I am very pleased with how this election went. I have been wanting this to happen for a while now, and I am glad that I am finally able to see the blue wave hit. Now that I will reach legal adulthood soon, I will be a lot more outspoken on these beliefs that founded our nation. A government that serves the people instead of the billionaires is the government that will lead us towards the eventual progress, both fiscally and socially, that Americans across our nation are demanding. The people have spoken, and changes are about to be made for the better.
