Human-State-Aware Restorative XR Environmentsfunded by the DTU Alliance PhD ProgrammeThis project investigates how extended reality environments can adapt to users’ physiological, cognitive, and emotional states to support restoration, stress reduction, and well-being. In collaboration with KTH Royal Institute of Technology, the project will develop and evaluate human-state-aware XR systems that dynamically respond to users and their changing needs.

Scalable Mixed-Reality Laboratory Platformfunded by THOMAS B. THRIGES FONDThis project develops a scalable mixed-reality laboratory platform for collaborative simulations of coastal, maritime, and industrial environments. By combining immersive visualization, shared interaction, and flexible simulation scenarios, the platform will support research, education, and training across complex engineering domains.

Immersive Virtual Laboratory (IVL)funded by THOMAS B. THRIGES FONDThis project develops an Immersive Virtual Laboratory to enable collaborative, hands-on electrical engineering education in VR. By providing scalable virtual experimentation and supporting institutional and national strategic goals, the IVL aims to make engineering learning more accessible, sustainable, and digitally enhanced.

Put me There: A Systematic Investigation of the Foundations of Egocentric Selection-Based Travel in Virtual Realityfunded by the German Research Foundation (DFG)We study how various teleportation metaphors and pre-travel cues influence user performance and experience in virtual reality. Building on analyses of ground-based techniques, we extend teleportation to vertical targets and integrated rotations. The project ultimately provides evidence-based guidelines for creating more flexible and expressive VR travel interfaces.
