What is Microblading?
Microblading is an advanced manual brow technique that uses a superfine row of needles to deposit cosmetic pigments into the upper dermis of the skin to create thin, hair-like strokes.
Microblading is meant to be a subtle, natural enhancement to create the illusion of fuller brows. It is the perfect solution for those who want to fully reconstruct, define, cover gaps, or fill-in over plucked brows. Results can last from six to 18 months, depending on a variety of factors such as color of pigment, skin type, and lifestyle.
How is microblading eyebrows different to having your brows tattooed?
Microblading, unlike tattooing, is not in the deep layer of skin, but more on the surface. This is also not permanent, and the colour fades within 18 months. The hair strokes are far more natural and finer than any tattoo, as a handheld needle/blade is used – there is no electrical gadget that permeates deep in this technique. There is therefore more of a scratching noise, rather than a buzz of a tattoo gun which pierces the skin so deeply.
What is permanent makeup?
Permanent makeup are treatments that replicate perfectly applied conventional makeup, most frequently on the brows, lash line, lips, and hairline. This is done by inserting cosmetic pigments into the dermis layer of the skin.
How long does the result last?
For brows, up to 18 months. Hair color, skin type, after-care, and lifestyle also affect longevity of the results. Occasional touch-ups are a way to refresh the results. Done correctly, the treatments do not change color and fade naturally away with time. For areas such as brows, this allows future flexibility with shape, as standards of beauty change.
What should I consider about the treatment?
Bleeding during the treatment: Excessive bleeding during your procedure will greatly affect how your body retains pigment. While this is not entirely in our control, it is important that you follow previous recommendations to help minimize bleeding.
Oily Skin: Increased oil production can cause hair strokes to blur and heal lighter and more powdery than you would expect. Loss of color will be more prominent and touch-ups are needed more frequently.
Smoking: Smokers may notice that their tattoo will fade faster
Sun exposure: Increased exposure to the sun will cause premature fading.
Color of pigment: Lighter colors fade faster than darker colors.
Is it painful?
We use effective numbing creams. On a scale of 1 to 10 with “1” being no discomfort, clients often experience between a 2 and 3 with the eyebrows treatment, however, pain tolerance varies from client to client. Other factors such as menstrual cycles also affect level of sensitivity.
Is it safe?
All our pigments are cosmetic grade, meaning that they are sterilized and purified for cosmetic use. In addition, all our tools are single-use and discarded after the treatment. The specialists are highly trained and experienced professionals.

Microblading heals best on normal to dry skin types. Clients with super thin skin, Rosacea, or Keloids can not receive Microblading. The treatment will not work well on clients with more oily skin types and large pores. On those with oily skin types and larger pores, we recommend the Power Brows technique. Please note that we do not offer Power Brows at our studio.
How long does the procedure take?
The first session takes approximately 2 to 3 hours we need to have enough time to assess each step of the way. Brow hair grade and color is analyzed, and the desired shape is drawn on with a specialized pencil. We will draw each strand to create a symmetrical, natural-looking brow that is custom-made for your bone structure. Once you are satisfied with the shape and thickness, we decide color to ensure we get a shade that is closest to your natural hair color . A topical numbing cream is applied that stays on for about 20 minutes, and then a special tool is used to make small, hair-shaped incisions in the skin underneath the brow.
What is the recovery time?
There is no time, however the brow will take about one week to fully heal. During this period, after-care procedures should be carefully followed. Please note that color appears darker for a few days after your treatment. Do not worry, this is temporary. Color will soften and will appear more natural as the healing progresses. It is normal to experience peeling of pigment. Fading or loss of pigment may occur during healing, in fact, it is expected, especially for your first treatment. Do not pick. Allow it to fall off naturally.
What are the aftercare instructions?
•Sweating. It is recommended not to sweat for the first 10 days after the procedure. Sweat is salt and can prematurely fade the treated area.
• Practicing sports
• Swimming
• Hot sauna, hot bath, or Jacuzzi
• Sun tanning or salon tanning. Absolutely no sun, sweating, or tanning prior to the procedure or after the procedure for 2 weeks. Where posible, avoid tanning /sunburn on your face prior to your procedure. The tan will exfoliate taking color with it as it fades.
• Any laser or chemical treatments or peelings, and/or any creams containing Retin-A or Glycolic Acid.
• Picking, peeling, or scratching of the micro pigmented area in order to avoid scarring of the area or removal of the pigment
• Smoking
• Drinking alcohol in excess, as it may lead to slow healing of wounds
• Touching of the eyebrow area except for when rinsing and applying the post-care cream with a cotton swab.
Will it look natural?
Yes. The technique creates realistic and simulated hair strokes that look just like real hair.
What is the perfecting session?
It is a session, done within 3 months of the initial treatment, is extremely important to ensure perfect results. We use this session to set the shape and color, and make any small adjustments if needed.
Can microblading be undone or removed?
Yes. The pigment used leaves no scarring or discoloration, and it can be removed.
What to expect after your microblading session?
Your new temporary eyebrow will go through several phases during the healing cycle.
The pigment will appear very sharp and dark immediately after the procedure. This is because the pigment is still sitting on top of your skin, and has not yet settled in completely. The color of the pigment will soften gradually. Do not be alarmed if you see some pigment on the cotton swab, as this is excess pigment and/or body fluid that is naturally exiting your skin. Once the healing of the skin starts taking place, it will look like dandruff flakes or dry skin. This might give you the impression that the color pigment is fading too quickly, however, this is just superficial color and dry skin being naturally removed from your eyebrows. Once completely healed, after 2 weeks, always apply a layer of sunscreen SPF 30 up to SPF 50 on your eyebrows when exposed to the sun. Sun exposure might cause the color pigment to fade away more quickly.
You can now enjoy your beautiful new temporary eyebrows. You will simply love your new gorgeous fresh look!

What does powder brows involve?
We use a small needle to place pigment into the skin with a quick hand motion, resulting in a pixelated effect of powder makeup. The art in shading is to layer the pixels perfectly without appearing denser and darker then your natural eyebrow hair.

How many sessions do I need for powder brows?
Our customers often have great healed results after one session with shading. We do offer a complementary touch up after 6-8 weeks to ensure your brows are perfect and the color is even throughout the whole eyebrow or if for any reason you want to add more density to them.
Do I need to do anything for maintenance?
We recommend yearly touch up, after the initial complementary touchup, to maintain the crispness and freshness of the color. Natural fading occurs from external factors such as exposure to the sun as well as internal factors such as the gradual break down of pigments as your body metabolizes it out of your system. Everyone can experience the fading process differently and it really comes down to skin type and lifestyle.
