Luke Willson is a NYC-based lighting designer and master electrician with a passion for the puzzles and patterns within stories. He aims to support work that moves us toward a more equitable and diverse future through building shared communal resources.
Most recently, Luke designed Shake It Up: The Remix, The Circus and the Bard: A Tempest Tossed, Twelfth Night, and The Norwegians for Shakespeare & Company's Summer 2026 Season. He has worked there for the past three years as a lighting supervisor and production manager. The Norwegians will be his eighth design credit there.
While in NYC, he is a staff electrician at both The Riverside Theatre and Danspace Project. He is a frequent collaborator with The Humanist Project, most recently on No Body Cares. He has also worked on productions at Theatre for a New Audience, The Flea, The Tank, SoHo Playhouse, The REV, The Eugene O’Neill Theatre Center, La MaMa, Atlantic Acting School, and more. Luke also loves playing D&D with his friends and family, devouring science fiction novels, and watching The Muppets in any iteration. When he's not working on his next show, he's probably listening to K-Pop, at an AMC, or waiting for the new season of Dimension 20 to drop.
