As the set designer for a two-week theatre camp production of Moana JR., I worked with 3rd–5th grade campers to create the set. We began by sketching each scene and mapping out our scenic needs, and the remaining days were spent painting and decorating, hand painting backdrops, and learning techniques like woodgraining. I built all major pieces, including a functional boat. I planned the campers’ daily projects, handled construction, and coordinated smooth scene changes.
