Hi, I'm Luke!

I’m an emerging theatre designer with a passion for creativity, storytelling, and bringing characters to life through detailed, intentional craft. I first got into theatre tech during my freshman year at Bellaire High School. After graduating in 2021, I continued my technical studies at Blinn College in Brenham for three years, exploring costumes, hair and makeup, set design, props, lighting, sound, and stage management.

I’m now attending Sam Houston State University, working toward my BFA in Theatre with an emphasis in tech and design. My primary focus is costumes, hair, and makeup, and I also work in the SHSU costume shop, helping build garments and prepare looks for university productions.

For the past five summers, I have worked at the Evelyn Rubenstein Jewish Community Center of Houston as a theatre camp counselor, where we produce a full-length musical in three weeks. I help campers with lines, choreography, and music, and I lead a team of campers in designing an element of the production.

Outside of school, I spend my time making art, playing drums, and watching movies. As I continue growing as a designer, I hope to build a professional career creating imaginative, thoughtful work for the stage.
