Union Statement

I led a large student-union video project as an official statement for the student body: I recruited and managed volunteers, co-wrote the script, narrated on camera, filmed, edited, and published the final piece. The project required coordination across teams, clear messaging, and post-production workflows to ensure a professional, timely release.

Former Vice-President of Coalition 4 Justice in Palestine

As a former Vice-President of the Coalition for Justice and Palestine, I used graphic design and research skills to create infographics, run a multi-channel divest campaign, and help coordinate & lead banner drops, walk-outs, sit-ins as forms of protests against genocide. These activities combined strategic communications, fundraising coordination, and community organizing.

This four-episode interview series was a project I led from end to end: recruiting and organizing volunteers, coordinating sponsors, scheduling and directing shoot dates, editing episodes, and publishing the final videos. The series used conversational interviews and short-form trivia segments to spark discussion about Palestinian identity, history, and current advocacy on campus. It successfully moved the conversation into university spaces and helped build awareness and engagement among students and staff. The project combined community outreach, volunteer management, digital editing, and distribution strategy.

Additional Volunteering Roles:

Presented original poems and spoken pieces at university walkouts and marches, tabled at the Toronto encampment, and contributed to an anonymous intake feature for the student body newsletter.

Documentary

I volunteered for a student-led research project documenting Palestinian experiences. I spoke about my upbringing and residence, and I starred as the main personality in a 10-minute documentary; the project involved on-site interviews, location coordination, and collaborative storytelling.
