"The Beauty & Pain Of Gaza"
Created in May 2023, a hand-built diorama inspired by the pain and beauty of Gaza. At first glance it shows a quiet seaside home and the everyday life that endures, with a mystery of blood flow; & from a particular angle the house shows severe destruction — a subtle visual shift that gestures toward colonization, normalized oppression, and the layered realities of life under conflict. The piece uses scale, perspective, and found materials to hold both tenderness and rupture at once. Making this work involved careful planning, material sourcing, and studio production; it also reflects my practice of centring Palestinian identity and testimony through objects and space.
"Symbols of Resistance"
Created shortly after October 2023, Symbols of Resistance was among my early pieces that crystallized the role of art as a form of survival and solidarity. I designed a simple yet distinctive poster that layered symbols of Palestinian identity and resistance into a cohesive visual language. The design was reproduced across posters, stickers, and apparel; I sold hundreds of items and helped raise thousands of dollars for Gaza. The project blended visual strategy, production planning, and ethical fundraising, showing how simple iconography can mobilize resources and sustain community efforts.
This pair of illustrations explores grief and the human cost of colonization through two linked images, drawn in the span of 3 months post-October 2023.
"Today & Tomorrow"
This illustration reflects the burden of a horse transporting martyrs "today", and "tomorrow" transporting the same horse to its grave; becoming a martyr himself.
"An Average Palestinian"
These works confront sorrow, memory, and the search for truth. They are intended to provoke reflection and to witness lived experiences with dignity and compassion.
