Hi, Hej, Olá!
My name is Luiza, and I am a Postdoctoral researcher at Copenhagen University (Department of Food and Resource Economics, Section for Environment and Natural Resources). I am also an associated researcher at the Brazilian Institute of Behavioral Sciences (Instituto Brasileiro de Ciências Comportamentais).
I hold a Ph.D in Environmental Economics from Aarhus University (Denmark), a Msc in Environmental and Resource Economics from the University of Copenhagen (Denmark) and a Bsc in Economic Sciences from the University of São Paulo (Brazil).
I work with a wide range of microeconomics methods applied to environmental and natural resource topics, including applied microeconomics, valuation, econometrics and behavioral and experimental economics.
As a postdoc, I am mainly working on the EU horizon project INTERCEDE. The objective of the project is to research approaches to incentivize provision of Ecosystem Services from European forests, with particular focus on market based instruments. I have also been doing smaller work for the EU horizon project MARVIC, helping to quantify monitoring reporting and verification costs in connection with European public and private carbon farming (CF) schemes
My research interests lie broadly in public policy analysis, design and uptake, both in developing contexts and in a European setting. Lately, I have been very interested in investigating challenges to the voluntary adoption of policies such as payments for ecosystem services. My long term research goal is to keep conducting scientifically relevant research with direct policymaking implications, within environmental economics.
Please note: I am on maternity leave until June 2027. I might check my email occasionally, but I ask for your patience during this time if you need a reply from me.
