Exorbitant electricity bills with almost no electricity, or electrical appliances damaged due to electric surge are just some common problems that I learned to live with. Arrived at the undergraduate level, I realized that it was possible to monitor the flow of electrical current, its power, and its behavior in a circuit. This basically means that I found the solution to my problems cited earlier and I will not have to replace appliances due to a surge.
In my journey of finding a reliable monitoring system, I designed a prototype with 6 outputs (3 switches and 3 lamps) connected to an Arduino UNO control system that will be monitored remotely through any phone equipped with a GSM sim card. This project has being successfully implemented and presented under the supervision of the Electrical Engineering Technology department of PKFokam Institute of Excellence .
