This years shirt(s) include an iconic figure from the Clone Wars. The medallions are going to look like sunflowers, a spinner of course, with a different centers. The result of the participant survey was a 75% majority for Jedi as gold or first place, Alliance for silver or second place; plus, in the Junior Luero, the third place medallion is a clone trooper.

This years design represents a classic scene from the original Star Wars released in theatres in 1977. Medals, that are being printed while I type on a printer at home, bring in the Dr Who twist, a time twist, of sorts. Pics will come soon as I assemble them.

The shirts are in the process of being printed as I type this. And of course, there is a Star Wars theme to the design but it also incorporates much more. My inspiration came from one of my favourite books, The Little Prince, with a large tree encompassing a small planet; this planet is not in danger of splitting in half. In fact, it is home to balancing light and dark. There are hints of a yin yang created in a spiral staircase; the leisure and peace for sleeping basset hounds in it's very core; the Mortis gods making a tree top with Ahsoka - Anakin/Vader - Baylon as the foilage: all in an infinity curve. And a Yoda style quote. I am going out on a limb here putting Baylon Skoll as the dark representative because that has not been confirmed but it certainly appeared to be Disney's intention.
The medals are being cut later this week and next.

2 Xtrme 75 and 1 Entrex 100 badminton racquets, 2 pickleball paddles, 2 pairs of Oliver shoes and 6 pairs of shorts (2-S, 2-M, 2-L).
The evolution of the shirt and the medals began as usual with Star Wars and Dr. Who influences, no Vader this time though. One of the Bendu's quotes from Rebels was inspiring, "An object cannot make you good or evil …. only you can change yourself.": since we are playing badminton, that became "A new racquet doesn't make you good or evil."
Then there is the image of the Bendu which I modified to honour Roxy, my basset hound who just turned 13 this May. Her face replaced the oxen-like Bendu head and her long floppy ears pop out just as the armor did on the original force wielder. The image is surrounded with circles (sponsors inside the smaller ones) similar to the force gates used for time travel.
But where is the Doctor. Time travel of course but also, Tom Baker - the actor who played Dr. Who for seven plus years (the one with the long scarf) - is the voice of the Bendu in the Star Wars series Rebels.
