The Eric Luong Charity Open Badminton Tournament
Thank you all for two fabulous weekends, both tournaments were host to many talented and skilled players. The Christmas Edition of the Luero and Junior Luero will be at Christmas and New Years time, exact dates to be determined. In the past Christmas, both Lueros combined to raise $1250 for charity; doing the tally now to determine this Summer's amount.
Between tournaments, we are open on Thursday nights during the Summer for drop-in ( book via City of Ottawa drop in sport 2 days prior online ). Starting in September we will go back to our regular Thursday nights and Sunday afternoons.
We thank you for your patronage and look forward to seeing you at this years event.
Final results and draws are now posted for both tournaments.
Results from both the Junior Luero and Luero Open will be submitted for ranking points. Yes, there is a new Adult Ranking based on tournament results.
Project Mission
In 2010, one of our members suddenly passed so to celebrate his life, we honour him by running the Luero inviting new and old friends to compete in what has become a very competitive , still friendly tourney. To date we have raised $11, 250 for multiple charities in Ottawa.
