Our club began in the early 2000's with a group of friends inviting their friends to introduce them to our sport of badminton, who then invited their friends. We held and annual fun tournament for our members, it was small, each Spring. In 2010 that changed when one of our members suddenly passed at the age of 22. So, to celebrate his life, we honoured him then and do so today, by running the Luero; inviting new and old friends to compete in a very competitive and friendly tournament.
We have four courts that have ample space on around the courts, the ceiling is almost high enough. There is a little bit of drift concerning the AC but that is part of the home court advantage; secrets you will discover during your match. It is a tile floor but the site lines are really clear.
Between tournaments, we are open on Thursday nights and Sunday afternoons from September until the end of June. ( book via City of Ottawa drop in sport 2 days prior online ). The City of Ottawa sets the fees, please pay at the front desk when you arrive; there are different rates depending if you have an all access pass, whether or not you are a student, adult or senior ( cash, credit or debit ). I am not putting the price in here because it changes often during the year.

Sundays have a new look starting Nov 1, 2026 ( 3 sessions instead of 2 )
Open/Adult and Youth -- 12:15 to 1:30 pm and 1:30 to 2:45 pm
Youth only -- 2:45 to 4 pm ( no City of Ottawa online registration ), old fashioned drop in ( first come, first served at front desk )
Please bring your own racquet and shuttles. When you sign up for our drop in, you are not getting a dedicated court like some other places; you get a period of time. We take 32 registrations for two full rotations on our four courts with 12 minute intervals of play. You will end up playing on different courts, perhaps with different players as the evening/afternoon progresses.
