Welcome to 6th Grade Science and STEM.

My name is Mrs. Ludka and this is my 6th year teaching science & engineering at Lincoln. Prior to that I worked in DNA and RNA research at UCSD, Pacific Biosciences, and Synthetic Genomics. I obtained my molecular biology degree from U.C. Santa Cruz (it's a great school- check it out!). I have a 10 year old son, a husband, and a dog named Charlie. My favorite things are being in nature, hanging out with family and friends, and relaxing.

My job is to SUPPORT YOU in any way I can. I remember how hard it was for me to transition to middle school (called "Jr. High" back in the 80s) because I didn't know anyone. We had just moved the summer before. I was a shy kid and not very confident. I will always remember that feeling of not quite belonging those first few months. As a teacher now, my goal is to help you make this transition as smoothly as possible and realize that you absolutely belong here and anywhere else you want to go.
