Working Together
Services
I currently offer individual therapy for adults. Sessions are provided via secure telehealth, allowing you to attend from a private, comfortable space.
Areas I commonly work with include:
Trauma and complex PTSD — including the long aftermath of difficult childhoods, chronic stress, and relationships that shaped you in ways you're still untangling
Anxiety that feels constant, physical, or hard to explain
Emotional reactions that feel out of proportion or out of control
Patterns in relationships that repeat no matter how hard you try to change them
Unhealthy coping — substance use, avoidance, anger, shutting down — that made sense once and now costs more than it gives
Grief, burnout, and the particular exhaustion of having held it together for too long
The intersection of mental health and neurodivergence (ADHD, ASD, AuADHD)
Credentials & Experience
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) and Licensed Substance Abuse Associate (LSAA) in New Mexico, and a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPC-A) in Texas. I also hold a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional certification at the advanced level (CCTP-II).
My clinical experience includes years of individual and group therapy in intensive outpatient settings, working primarily with adults navigating trauma, substance use, grief, and chronic stress.
My 20+ years in education have deepened my understanding of human development, behavior, learning differences, emotional regulation, and the ways early experiences and environments shape how people see themselves and navigate the world. Working for the public school system has given me firsthand insight into the effects of financial pressures, high expectations, limited resources, and profound responsibility.
I practice under clinical supervision as part of the licensure process. Supervision supports ethical practice, professional development, and consistent quality of care.
Practical Information
Format:
Sessions are offered via a secure, HIPAA-compliant telehealth platform.
Fees:
Individual sessions are $100 per 50-minute session, with a sliding scale for those who qualify. Sessions are offered on a self-pay basis, with payment due at the time of service.
Insurance:
I am not currently in-network with insurance providers.
Insurance-driven care often places financial and administrative priorities ahead of the therapeutic process. Requirements for diagnosis, documentation, and medical necessity can shape treatment decisions, while restrictions on session frequency and duration can limit the time needed for meaningful therapeutic work. I value the flexibility to make clinical decisions based on each client's needs rather than the limitations imposed by insurance companies prioritize profit and cost containment.
Availability:
My availability is limited to evenings and weekends.
