Therapy for adults when life has asked too much for too long.
Therapy for adults when life has asked too much for too long.
I work with adults who feel worn down by patterns they didn't choose and don't fully understand. Many of the people I see have spent years surviving — managing intense emotions, substance use, anxiety, depression, relationship struggles — without ever being given a clear framework for how they got there or how to get out of there.
My background includes years of individual and group work in intensive outpatient settings, where I supported people navigating trauma, addiction, grief, and the chronic stress of everyday life. I'm currently completing my EMDR certification — a structured, evidence-based approach to processing experiences that talk therapy alone doesn't always reach. Those experiences, combined with over 20 years working in elementary schools, have shaped how I practice today: practical, grounded, and focused on helping people regain a sense of agency. If you've spent years in a role that asks everything of you — professionally or otherwise — and you're running on empty in ways that are starting to affect everything else, that's something I understand from the inside.
My approach is eclectic, drawing from evidence-based and trauma-informed practices rather than a single rigid model. I approach therapy as a collaborative process. Together, we work to understand how early experiences, attachment patterns, and a chronically activated nervous system can shape thoughts, emotions, and behavior. From there, we focus on building skills that translate into daily life — tools that support steadiness, clarity, and the ability to choose how you want to live.
I place a strong emphasis on honesty and compassion in the therapeutic relationship. Therapy with me is about creating enough safety to look clearly at what's happening, reduce shame, and experiment with new ways of responding — at a pace that respects your nervous system and your history.
You don't need to have insight, language, or goals figured out before starting. Many people begin therapy feeling confused, exhausted, or disconnected from themselves. My role is to help make sense of what's been driving those experiences and to support meaningful, sustainable change over time.
I currently offer individual therapy for adults. My work is trauma-informed and grounded in an understanding of how stress, attachment, and nervous system patterns shape emotions and behavior over time.
Areas I commonly work with include:
Trauma and complex PTSD — including the long aftermath of difficult childhoods, chronic stress, and relationships that shaped you in ways you're still untangling
Anxiety that feels constant, physical, or hard to explain
Emotional reactions that feel out of proportion or out of control
Patterns in relationships that repeat no matter how hard you try to change them
Unhealthy coping — substance use, avoidance, anger, shutting down — that made sense once and now costs more than it gives
Grief, burnout, and the particular exhaustion of having held it together for too long
Sessions are provided via secure telehealth, allowing you to attend from a private, comfortable space.
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) and Licensed Substance Abuse Associate (LSAA) in New Mexico, and a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPC-A) in Texas. I hold a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional certification at the advanced level (CCTP-II) and am currently completing my EMDR certification through an EMDRIA-approved training program.
My clinical experience includes years of individual and group therapy in intensive outpatient settings, working primarily with adults navigating trauma, substance use, grief, and chronic stress. Prior to my clinical career I spent over 20 years working in elementary education — an experience that continues to inform how I understand people who have spent their lives in service to others.
I practice under clinical supervision as part of the licensure process. Supervision supports ethical practice, professional development, and consistent quality of care.
