I am a Senior Research Fellow at the School of Public Health at Washington University in St. Louis. My research focuses on how social and economic policies, socioeconomic circumstances, and life-course experiences shape health and health inequalities.
My work combines descriptive, trajectory-based methods, including sequence analysis, and causal methods to investigate the long-term health consequences of education, employment, retirement, and social policies. I am particularly interested in understanding how social and economic circumstances throughout the life course influence cognitive aging and dementia risk.
Before joining Washington University, I worked as a researcher at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) and at the University of Sussex. I received my PhD in Economics from the University of Milan, Italy, in December 2017, with a dissertation titled Essays on the Political Economy of Trade and Environmental Policies.
I am always happy to connect with researchers who share similar interests. If you have an idea for a potential collaboration, please do not hesitate to reach out!
