Supporting our Spring Fundraising, this year we are proud to present the second annual Glow and Give. Details to come!
Rent the Marquee for a day. The possibilities are endless! Whether it's celebrating a birthday/half birthday, promoting a community event, honoring an accomplishment, providing a shout out, your announcement will be seen by the whole community (and anyone who drives by!).
Dine to Donate: monthly we partner with local restaurants, make your meals easy that day by visiting and they donate a portion of their proceeds to LTE PTO. Watch our emails, social media updates and LTE community news for the latest restaurant!
Lone Tree Elementary PTO raises a significant amount of money each year, thanks to families like yours. While many PTOs use funds to directly pay for items (such as playground equipment), we have a slightly different way of utilizing funds. Most of the money is transferred directly to the school! This generous transfer provides funds for Mrs. Persichina to cover certain annual expenses. By covering these annual expenses with money raised by the PTO, she can reserve the majority of her budget from DCSD for staffing. (See back side for more details on how PTO funds are utilized).
How are funds utilized?
PTO’s fundraising aligns with Lone Tree Elementary’s model as a magnet school, targeting the money raised to its three pillars. With your generosity, we can support the following which positively impacts ALL students at LTE.
Personalization and Student Autonomy
This approach to learning is research-based and key to the success of all students at LTE. Funds raised by PTO support the following:
Small class sizes (lower in comparison to neighborhood schools)
Education support staff including literacy specialists, math support, and educational assistants (EAs) for all grade levels with extra support in kindergarten and larger classes.
Technology/Programs/Resources to individualize your child’s learning experience.
1-1 Chromebooks for all students give access to Google Apps and adaptive technologies, empower the creation of products to demonstrate learning in a personalized manner
Personalized Adaptive Technologies (iReady, Ready Math, etc.)
Consumable Resources for Wonders, Ready Math, Fundations
Real-World Inquiry-to-Action and Global Connections
PTO funds support LTE’s hands-on learning experiences and connections to real-world experts:
LTE’s Biodiversity Park - an outside learning area for observation, experimentation, and stewardship. PTO funds established this area and supports its growth.
Partnership with Denver Audubon - A grant from SCFD funds most of our partnership with Denver Audubon, and PTO funds the remainder. This program engages all students in hands-on learning that aligns with Next Generation Science Standards and builds awareness of sustaining healthy environments that will lead to student action.
Embedded Across Our Pillars
LTE sets itself apart with a positive climate and culture and optimized working and learning conditions based on research and brain-based strategies. PTO supports these key elements:
Professional Development/Coaching that includes an Innovation/Magnet Specialist and Instructional Coach
Additional safety for our students with See Me Flags placed at our crosswalk
Maintenance of enriched environments
Staff Appreciation for a staff that goes above and beyond for our kids!
Community and school events, such as Trunk-or-Treat and the 6th-grade Dance
