Our center is open as early as 6:30 in the morning and as late as 5:00 in the evening. Children who attend the Portage Community School District will be transported to and from the school campus via Riteway bus company. We can accomodate both planned early releases and early releases due to inclement weather.
Only need care in the morning or afternoon? We got you covered!
Children who attend in the morning will experience a calm atmosphere where they can enjoy individual activities that engage their fine motor and cognitive skills. Children who attend in the afternoon will be offered a nutritious snack. When weather permits, we spend the afternoon outdoors with the school age children so they can explore their socializing and gross motor skills.
The Portage Community School District has "in-service" days as well as fall, winter, and spring breaks when school is not in session on certain week days. Learning Tree offers childcare for school-aged children on those days for those who sign up for it ahead of time.
Children who attend during these breaks will receive breakfast and afternoon snack, and a parent-provided lunch. They will be in an environment with other school aged children and will follow a structured schedule that combines free play with educational activities.
We offer summer childcare that begins the week following the last day of school up to the Tuesday prior to the first week of school. We work with Riteway bus service to provide transport to and from Summer School for any children that choose to enroll in that program.
School age children in our summer care program will experience a structured (and screen free) schedule that keeps them engaged and entertained.
