Please note - The Faculty Club, Inc (FCI) is not the catering or dining facility for the Club at Union Square. Please contact the Club at Union Square for dining and catering information.
The historical Faculty Club, Inc., of LSU fosters social interaction for faculty, staff, administration, and friends of LSU in a professional, distinguished, and welcoming environment. (Click here to join.)
The FCI hosts TGIF socials from 4:30-6:30 p.m. on most Fridays when the campus is open (please see the calendar for scheduled events). We meet at the Faculty Club building (now known as The Club at Union Square), located on Highland Road diagonally across from the LSU Student Union.
The FCI Board of Governors also plans special events such as Welcome Back socials at the start of each semester, a Holiday Dinner Dance, a spring semester crawfish boil, and a White Elephant Auction to raise money for a charitable donation.
The FCI was first organized in 1938 as a social club for faculty and their spouses. It was housed in the LSU Faculty Club, which was built in 1939 as an on-campus hotel with billiard and television rooms, faculty dormitories, guest rooms, and a restaurant. Today, the building is registered as a historical site and is managed by the University, and the restaurant is part of the LSU Union facilities.
