If you are interested in joining the LS County Sheriffs Office, you will first need to apply and be accepted into the County Sheriffs Office. There is a rigorous process that includes a background check, medical exam, and drug test. You must also be at least 21 years old, and pass a physical fitness test. The academy has a staff of highly trained instructors who will guide you through your training. The curriculum includes classroom instruction, physical training, and on-the-job training. You will graduate from the academy as a Deputy Sheriff. After graduation, you will be assigned to a patrol division.
Upon graduation from the academy, you will be assigned to a patrol unit. You will receive additional training from your patrol partners and from your FTO Sergeants. As a deputy, you will be responsible for keeping the peace and protecting the citizens of Los Santos County. This is an important job that requires a great deal of dedication and commitment. To become a Deputy Sheriff in the Los Santos County Sheriffs Office, you must:
• Be at least 21 years old.
• Have a valid driver's license.
• Be able to pass a thorough background check.
• Have a clean record.
• Be physically fit and able to pass a medical exam.
• Be a U.S. citizen.
• Be able to read, write, and communicate effectively.
