Welcome to the Official Page of the Los Santos County Sheriffs Office Field Training Office has a dedicated FTO office, which is responsible for training and supervising new recruits. The FTO office is staffed by experienced field training officers who have been specifically selected for their ability to teach and mentor new deputies. The FTOs work closely with their recruits, teaching them the skills and knowledge they need to perform their duties effectively. The FTO office has a rigorous training program, which includes both classroom and field training. The recruits are taught the basics of police work, including investigation, patrol, and traffic enforcement. They are also given the opportunity to participate in advanced training, such as tactical operations and firearms instruction.
Once the recruits have completed their training, they are assigned to a patrol unit, where they will be supervised by their FTO. The FTOs work hard to ensure that their recruits are prepared for the challenges of their new positions, and they continue to provide support and guidance throughout their careers. Through a combination of classroom and field training, the program emphasizes practical skills and real-life experiences that will prepare recruits for the challenges they will face on the street. By ensuring that all new officers receive comprehensive, quality training, the FTO program plays an essential role in maintaining the high standards of the Los Santos Police Department.
Our FTOs are responsible for providing the new hires with the knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary to successfully carry out their duties as deputies. This is accomplished through a combination of classroom instruction and field training. The goal is to ensure that all new hires have the tools they need to succeed in their roles as deputies and that they develop into competent, professional law enforcement deputy. Our FTOs are committed to the mission of the department and strive to develop their recruits into the best deputies possible.
The FTO office is a resource for the entire Sheriff's Office, providing training and support for all personnel, regardless of rank or specialty. The FTOs are highly experienced and respected members of the Sheriff's Office, and they are responsible for developing and implementing the department's training program. The FTO office works closely with the Training Division and the Academy to ensure that all recruits are receiving the highest quality training possible.

- No discipline has been recorded in the past thirty (30) days.
- Be the rank of Corporal.
- Be in good standing with the department.
- Pass the FTO interview process.
- Complete all FTO requirements.
