SERVICING
Before Service
During Service, firebox stripped out - new bricks, ropes, gaskets, paintjob!
Service completed. Looks like new!

The clean burn baffle on this Stovax Stockton 8 had split in two and needed replacing.
The appliance was made safe again and handed back to the customer in full working order.
UNSAFE INSTALLATIONS
Sadly sometimes we turn up to a job and the installation can't be left in a safe condition. On these occasions we are obliged to inform you that we have to condemn the installation and you will need to rectify the faults listed before you can use your appliance again.
A chimney system is allowed to have a maximum of just four bends, if one of those bends is a full 90 degrees that counts as two of the allowed bends.
This system had a total of six, 5 you can see on the outside and one inside, also it did not extend far enough above the top of roof next to it. All of this meant that the system struggled to draw the smoke away from the stove and the room kept filling with smoke.

Everyone loves a happy ending!
This little stove was rescued from the scrap heap thanks to full refurbishment, a shiny new liner and even a new chimney pot.
Here it is just waiting for the cold to come back so it can carry on it's life once again.
