Placement Assessments

Bridges Intervention & Math Expressions correlation

Instruction with Bridges Intervention should NEVER preceed or take the place of grade-level instruction. It is inappropriate to preteach content before students have had the opportunity to learn it in their Tier 1 classroom. Use this correlation chart to determine if the placement assessment outcome is an appropriate starting place. This tool will also help determine when instruction in a particular volume should cease for a student (i.e., the Bridges modules have "caught up" to a student's grade level instruction).

Placement Assessment Directions and Materials

These documents provide directions regarding administration of each volume's placement assessment. They also list the additional materials needed for each placement assessment.

REMINDER: Students do one page of the placement assessment at a time. The rubric will indicate whether the student should stop or should move on to the next page.

Placement Assessment Masters

These documents include the student consumable pages as well as the scoring rubric for each volume's placement assessment.

You should give a student the placement assessment for the volume you've purposefully selected for that student. Do not have a student start at an early volume and work their way through multiple placement assessments.
