This is an active after school experience where it is critical that the kids have interest in participating and parents are able to volunteer time to help. This is a great activity to help build your Loyola community while sharing a wonderful experience with your child/children.
We ask at least 15 hours of volunteer time for each child in the production from all parents which includes participation in the committees below or rehearsal supervision.
Co-Producers (Carrie W., Thuy F. & TBD)
Works with the director to identify the production, secures and manages the budget, recruits the lead parent volunteers to put on the show.
Back Stage (Helen T. & TBD)
Organizes the crew of volunteers that takes care of set changes, curtains, and manages the kids back stage during the performances.
Cast Party (Chandana P.)
Organizes the party that happens after the last performance. This person also collects contributions for gifts on behalf of the cast for the Director, Musical Director, and Choreographer.
Costumes (Minda L.)
Organizes the team that creates and fits costumes for the entire cast. This lead manages the Costume Parade and any fittings that happen on that day.
Green Room (Mary E. & Pip L.)
Manages the crew that supervises the kids while they are not performing and makes sure the kids get on stage at the right time during the performances.
Lights (Emma D. & Dudi M.)
Sets up lights and organizes the tech crew that controls the stage lights and spot light during the shows.
Photographer (David L.)
Takes photos during the rehearsals, tech rehearsals, takes cast photo and shares with all parents via shared drive at the end of the performances. Takes headshots for cast bios.
Cast Bios/Programs/T-shirts (Lindsey S.)
Prints and hangs up cast bios that are displayed during the show. Produces the printed programs. Designs the cast T-shirts, collect sizes and distributes T-shirts to the cast.
Props (Hugues R.)
Sources or creates all props for the performances.
Props Wrangler (Liz H.)
Manages all props during the performances, making sure the props get on/off stage at the right time, gets taken out before and stored properly after the performances.
Sets Building (Eldad P. & TBD)
Organizes the crew of volunteers that creates and builds the set, including backdrops.
Sets/Backdrop Design (Greg P.)
Designs and sketches backdrop and sets.
Sound (James K/Mike L)
Sources any sound effects, sets up the sound equipment and organizes the tech crew that controls the mics, speakers and sound effects during the show.
Tickets (Nicole S.)
Leads the crew that designs/prints tickets, distributes 2 free tickets to each performer, and handles ticket and flower sales during the performances.
Volunteer Coordinator (Winnie C.)
Recruits, trains and organizes Rehearsal Volunteers. Helps Committee Leads recruit volunteers for the various committees.
