SIGN-UPS:
The school will send out an e-mail to everyone at 8pm on Thursday, November 7 where you can sign up your child to participate in the musical. Please watch the Loyola Roar for more information.
We typically have very strong interest in participation in the musical, so we encourage you to sign-up immediately when the sign-up link is released. Sixth grade students will be given priority, as well children of parent leads. Once we reach the cut-off for participants, we will create a waitlist.
AUDITIONS:
Students who are confirmed participants will submit a short video of singing and a monologue as their audition. Those videos will need to be submitted by end of day on Friday, November 22. The directors will review the videos and ask some kids to come in for callbacks.
If your child withdraws from the program after having submitted an audition and before the cast list is published, 50% of the participation fees will be refunded.
CALL BACKS:
A small of number of students will be called back for a follow-up audition. Callbacks will be held in person in the Loyola Multipurpose Room on Saturday, December 7th, 10:30am to 1:30pm.
Don't worry if your child does not get a callback. This means that the director already knows the part they will have (including leading roles).
Once the cast list is published, 100% of the participation fees become non-refundable.
AUDITION SIDES
Audition sides are excerpts of the script from the show. If your child is asked to attend callbacks, please have them work on the dialogue from the sides which correspond to the character (or characters). they are called back for. Please make sure to print out the sides and have your child bring the sides for their character to callbacks.
