History and cultural heritage

Even if it was founded only in the 80s, the PLIS has a long history. One of the most beautiful features are the ruins dating back to the sixteenth century farmland and the mill. These ruins are ancient and show the old origins of the region. They are both near to a path, so it’s possible to reach them walking or cycling. The farmland is an ancient farmhouse, that was inhabited by a family of local farmers in the past. Nowadays noone lives there, so we strongly recommend not to enter, because it could be dangerous. Even if it is not possible to enter, the house is still beautiful from the outside.

The mill is no longer used too, but it is near to the Olona river, so it’s possible to see an abundance of different birds and aquatic animals
