Purpose: Providing fresh fruit, healthy snacks, and warm items for children and families.

MRS. PAT'S HOLIDAY HUG BANQUET(MPHHB) | DIGNITY IN DINING

Date: November 26, 2026 | Dignity in Dining

Time: 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.

Location: Covington, Georgia

Purpose: Provide a four-course dine-in Thanksgiving meal for under-resourced and unhoused neighbors.  And provide a discreet area where attendees can receive warm items, shoes, clothing, and mobility‑assistance supplies from our Freestor. 

My mother, Patricia “Mrs. Pat” Burkhalter loved Thanksgiving.  She made Thanksgiving her holiday with the family.  And we as her four daughters made sure we showed up with dishes she liked us to cook.  Mrs. Pat became ill with Alzheimer’s in 2015.  She slept into eternal rest until the trumpet sounds from Heaven, the day before her favorite holiday in 2020.  In honor of the delicious food, unconditional love, acceptance, laughter and fun we experienced with our family on Thanksgiving because of our mother, we have “Mrs. Pat’s Holiday Hug Banquet”.
