Meet Serene Dardari, the passionate gut behind Love in Anatolia. A Syrian/Circassian communications expert, Tedx speaker and humanitarian activist. The idea behind Love in Anatolia began with a 23andMe DNA test, revealing that Serene is 90% Anatolian. This revelation ignited a deep curiosity within her to explore the ancient lands of Anatolia.
In 2020, Serene was diagnosed with Celiac disease, a chronic autoimmune illness. Celiac disease is a condition where the ingestion of gluten leads to damage in the small intestine. In a country renowned for its love of dough and bread, adapting to a gluten-free lifestyle became a unique adventure for Serene.
