Over the past few years, I have actively engaged in various school counseling initiatives, demonstrating key School Counselor Competencies. As a school counselor, we play a vital role in providing leadership to our colleagues, educators, students, parents, administrators, and the broader community. In addition leadership responsibilities, I must continuously participate in professional development opportunities to remain informed and up-to-date on best practices in school counseling.

I am honored to have the opportunity for you to to be here. My passion for education and support for our community, academic growth and success for all, makes me an ideal candidate for School Counselor at Hempstead High School. By linking educational agendas to future achievement, I will assist my students in preparing for academic, career, and social obstacles. I'll also help them deal with their daily stressors by encouraging them to believe in themselves, emphasizing the importance of hard work and education, and assisting them in setting goals for the future, as I did myself. It is a great privilege to be able to serve our students in that way.

In addition, I support the College and Career Department, where we guide students through post-secondary planning. Our work includes assisting with college applications, FAFSA and financial aid support, scholarship opportunities, career exploration, resume building, trade and vocational pathways, and connecting students with internships and enrichment programs. Our goal is to ensure every student has a clear, achievable plan for life after high school.
