I have studied psychology for over 15 years and have 10 years of NHS experience working in a variety of settings and with people who have many different presentations of distress.
My approach is integrative in that I draw on a number of psychological theories and models to meet your needs, rather than try to fit you into a model that doesn't necessarily reflect your experience.
Throughout my career I have received training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Analytic Therapy (CAT), Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT) and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR).
I have a special interest in EMDR and working with trauma, as well as working with people who are in caring professions. Having worked within the NHS and later stepped away from it, I have a strong understanding of how complex and challenging the system can be to navigate, both for those employed within it and for individuals seeking support.
I practice in a trauma-informed, gender-affirming, and neuro-affirming way, rooted in respect, authenticity, and the belief that everyone deserves to be seen and valued as they truly are.
I am professionally regulated by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
