Postdoctoral researcher in the Centre for Language Studies at Radboud University, Nijmegen. Working under the supervision of Mirjam Broersma on the NWO funded VICI project "Second Language Learning in Refugees: Effects of psychological trauma on linguistic and communicative skills". 

Applied Linguistics PhD completed at the Department of Education at the University of York. My PhD focused on the influence of written language on second language phonological development in adult language learners. In particular, I am interested in the influence of literacy experience across different writing systems on language learning in migration contexts. This research draws together my expertise in the field of developmental psycholinguistics and over a decade of English language teaching experience in the UK, Spain, Jordan and the Netherlands.
