Lost and Found is a three garment and textile print design collection inspired by my interests in urban exploring, 60s and 70s fashion and music, and my connection to Polish culture and heritage. The project is deeply personal, reflecting my identity through fashion and textiles.
For this project, I travelled through remote parts of the eastern Polish border, where I come from, exploring abandoned homes filled with fragments of people's lives, including textiles, wallpaper and personal belongings. These forgotten spaces echoed stories of movement, migration and memory, while reconnecting me with my own Polish identity and family history. They also became the inspiration for my print designs. Distorted Lace was developed from a Polish made silk tie found in one of the houses, while Slavic Dolls was inspired by found textiles featuring traditional Polish folk motifs.
The silhouettes and styling of the collection draw on retro 60s and 70s fashion, reinterpreting the era's vivid colours, bold shapes and tailoring through a contemporary lens. By combining historical references with personal experiences and textile led design, the collection, became a reflection of memory and place. Each garment representing an element of my personal identity.

The Distorted Lace print design used for my look, was printed onto a water soaked fabric to achieve a bleed/blurred like effect which functioned as a representation for fading time and memory.

The Slavic Doll print design used for my look, was printed using three different custom colours; Rusty red, Blood Pink and Marine Blue, creating a smooth transition ombre effect. This technique was inspired by traditional Polish "Pasiaki" striped wool throws, found in one of the abandoned houses I visited.
