Lotus Theatre was founded in 2024 by Peter Kao. He saw a desire for theatre companies in the greater Milwaukee area wanting to tell stories with and about Asian storytellers, but there was a lack of depth in the talent pool needed to tell these stories authentically. Peter decided to challenge that status quo and Lotus Theatre was born!
