Hello, my name is Lori Robinson. I am a senior studying Healthcare Services Management at Richard M. Fairbanks School of Public Health at Indianapolis-University Purdue-University Indianapolis. My professional strengths include being well organized, my ability to adapt to change, being a problem solver and lastly being emotionally aware. As a professional I want to bring organization and structure that will help improve the quality care for patients and staff. With having leadership experience and my ability to ensure patient satisfaction, I will provide a healthy work environment.
While attending high school, I knew I wanted to pursue a degree that was related to healthcare, however, I knew nursing was not for me at that time. While studying at a community college I attended a college fair and a recruiter from Western Illinois suggested I explore the administrative side of healthcare. Upon doing my own research and evaluating my skills and strengths, I found health services management best aligns with me and who I aspire to be as a professional. I knew with a health services management major I would have a wide range of opportunities without having to stay in one place throughout my career. While attending IUPUI and going through the required courses, the more I learned and attended off campus events such as site tours, the more I realized this is the role that was meant for me.
