Started during the pandemic lockdown of 2020, this series is a reflection of my thoughts and feelings on the current condition of our society. These women mourn the loss of human kindness and interaction, they witness the destruction of our country, and they feel the desolation, loneliness, and chaos closing in. They are a combination of strong, stoic, vulnerable, desperate, ignorant, and misguided. They make mistakes, they continue the fight. They are all of us.
These works are part depiction of my own mental state, and part social critique of what I see happening in the world. This collection is a continuing meditation, as well as a warning, about where we are now and where we are headed.
