About me

Hi there! I’m Lorenzo, I'm 24 and I am a Biochemist and Bioinformatician. I’m very passionate about theatre and science communication; in my free time I enjoy hiking and practicing 3D animation in Blender. I'll be using this site a bit like a personal diary, where I talk about molecules, biology, and whatever else sparks my curiosity. 

In the Video section, I’ll be posting animations and molecular graphics made in Blender. Through them, I’ll try to give you a peek into that fascinating, wild, chaotic and violent world we’d find ourselves in… if only we could shrink down to just a few nanometers wide.

In the Web Apps section, you’ll find little tools and scripts I’ve built - mostly things I created to help me study or understand tricky topics a bit better, and that might come in handy for others too.

In the Academia section you’ll find some information about my background, academic interests and dissertations.
